Marjan Popovski

When I’m at work, the time goes by really fast and I enjoy every minute.

Currently, Marjan Popovski is a .NET Team Lead at our Skopje office.

Marjan got both his bachelor and master degrees at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics in Skopje. In 2015 when Melon opened its Skopje office, the local head invited him to an interview to join the .NET development team. 

Keeping the interest alive

He enjoys that the company wins clients with challenging projects and that his team is always developing various functionalities beyond the enlisted specifications. What keeps his interest alive is the work with new and different technologies. At Melon, he strives to excel at his job and besides software development. 

Work progress at Melon

Marjan’s first project was with a pharmaceutical company which needed drugs analyses software. Together with his team they built a solution to optimize the client’s business processes in three months. Since then, he has been working with a U.S.-based client. With them, he has completed two projects and is currently engaged with a third one.

Friendly working atmosphere

His favorite thing about Melon is the good atmosphere and the people. “When I’m at work, the time goes by really fast and I enjoy every minute,” he says. He also says he can always talk to his colleagues about everything and together they have a good time at the office. Marjan enjoys the yearly teambuilding because he can catch up with his colleagues from Sofia and Veliko Tarnovo. 

When asked what he would like to improve at Melon, he says that it is good enough and doesn’t need any drastic changes.

Life beyond work

Marjan enjoys playing tennis and basketball, very often with his colleagues. He also loves spending time with his family and traveling around Europe. During the winter, he saves one weekend for skiing in Bulgaria.
