CashBet is a US based online gambling platform integrated in social and mobile games.
Mike Reaves, Co-founder and CEO, previously was a managing partner of a US game platform company, who in turn were Melon’s client since 2010. As of April 2013, they switched business models and Reaves co-founded the start-up CashBet. From day one they engaged Melon directly as their main software development partner.
It’s a product development project with long-term support. CashBet has been taking full advantage of our integrated software development services. Melon developed their platform and back office system with users and management accounts, the games, API, allowing people to develop games within CashBet’s platform, the client’s corporate site and the sites of the games. It’s a huge portfolio of services that’s been constantly expanding.
Even though CashBet’s co-founder, Reaves, has founded a number of successful start-ups before, he is still very tight on staffing. CashBet is our most challenging client when it comes to selecting the software development team. And the selection is quite demanding. Being well aware of their business objectives, they are very particular on what they want and how they want it. That is why involved developers learn a lot and quickly.
CashBet are quite reasonable. And first and foremost they trust Melon. For example, in the beginning we started developing the platform using a ready-made bug tracking system, but after a couple of months trying to customize it, Melon’s project manager realized that it simply wasn’t good enough and suggested rewriting everything from scratch. CashBet agreed with the long-term in mind.
The communication between CashBet and Melon is easy and smooth, as if we were sharing a common office. When there’s a problem, the client simply picks up the phone and tells us. We, in turn, fix it. The whole process is entirely result-oriented and there’s never been room for drama or soap operas.
